General information on EN 131 Standard
The ladders included in the KTL-Ladders catalogue are manufactured according to the European Standards of the EN 131 series, meeting the strictest certified quality and safety requirements. The general provisions of this standard are based on the following aspects:
- The maximum weight that the ladder must support should not exceed 150 kg, including tools. Additionally, it is only permitted to be used by one person at a time
- The step footprint must not be less than 20 mm
- The distance between steps must be uniform, with an allowable deviation of ±2 mm
The EN 131 Standard does not apply to step stools, which are covered by the EN 14183 Standard.
